George Agrafiotis is the COO of TERNA ENERGY. He has been with the company for ten years and leads, among others, the PPP project development and management business.
He holds an MSc from UMIST in Computer Engineering, System programming from St John’s in London and a BSc in Mathematics from the National Technical University of Athens.
Mr Agrafiotis has worked at the Hellenic Telecoms Organization (OTE), at Olympic Airlines as a senior system programmer as well as in the private sector as a consultant. (energy companies, technical consultancy firms, banks).
In 2000 he was chair of AIS while in 2001 he was appointed secretary-general of development, being responsible for energy and natural resources.
Between 2000 and 2004 he was the president of the Crisis Management Committee of the energy market, while in 2003 he was Greece’s representative at EU Energy ministers’ committees.
